Symposium Overview
The International Building Energy Efficiency Symposium (iBEES-2023) was organized by the NED University Virtual Reality Center on May 12-13, 2023. This symposium aimed to highlight and discuss contemporary best practices in building energy efficiency. Eight international and national building energy experts delivered keynote speeches on various related topics. Dr. Farrukh Arif presented a keynote speech on "Energy Efficient Housing Guidelines and Green Building Provisions using Audit-Simulation-Living Lab Integration." His presentation focused on the findings of this project, introducing a novel concept of building energy efficiency assessment through the integration of audit, simulation, and living lab methodologies. Dr. Arif also explained how the project's findings have been incorporated into Pakistan's green building codes. His work received significant appreciation from both experts and participants.
